Short description

This standard specifies a method for the determination of low number concentrations of inor-ganic fibrous particles in dry dust-gas mixtures flowing in defined cross-sections, e. g. in ex-haust air pipes or ducts. Inorganic fibres with a length L > 5 µm, a thickness D 3 : 1 are detected with this method. For measurements on stationary appli-cations, the requirements of VDI 2066 Part 1 apply; simplifications are specified for mobile applications.
