Short description

This standard describes a technical procedure for the evaluation of glass surfaces and coatings of solar energy systems for use in dusty environments of arid and semi-arid climates. A central component is the definition of the relevant environmental and test parameters, which are to be reproducibly mapped with a suitable test device (test chamber). Technical specifications are defined for the test device. In addition, suitable test procedures are defined to ensure results comparable with real environmental impacts. Suitable quantification methods for dust deposits on glasses are also described.
