The guideline applies to the simulation of the corrosive effect of environmental conditions (for example operating, transport and storage conditions) on materials and products (exposed objects). It decribes general forms of methods for weathering materials and construction components. Studies on certain materials, for example elastomers or natural stone, may require additional requirements which should be defined in the individual requirements of these samples and are not given here.
