Short description
The latest results of a nationwide study show that the term ‘heat action plan’ is interpreted differently by local authorities. Specific measures planned by local authorities within the framework of heat action plans can be highly diverse and multifaceted. As there are currently no technical regulations considering health-related heat protection or prevention in Germany, standardized heat action planning is advisable and helpful. The standard serves as a recommendation for local authorities. The standard examines risk groups, taking into account the aspects of identification and measures. The focus is on preparing health and social systems to effectively protect risk groups.
