Measurement results are complete only if the relevant uncertainty of measurement is stated. This standard describes a procedure for determining the uncertainty of form measurements, based on the measurements of standards. In addition to the required measurement system and standards, it also describes the setting-up of the applicable mathematical model, the investigation of influencing variables and determining the extended uncertainty of measurement. The application of the procedure is supported by examples.
