Short description

The standard defines calculation methods for the interpretation and description of variable-area flowmeters and their scale. Also described are basic effects in the measurement of flow with variable-area flowmeters. The descibed calculation procedure allows the conversion of a pre-defined scale of a device in a new scale for measuring another substance in addition to the interpretation of a scale for specific fluids. This conversion is vividly explained in the Annex by means of two examples.
