Quantitative capability analysis is commonly used for measuring (non-classifying) machine vision (industrial image processing) systems. VDI/VDE/VDMA 2632 Part 3 introduces indicators describing the classification capability of a machine vision system. In Addition, this standard describes various methods for checking the classification performance of machine vision systems. It assists users and suppliers of machine vision systems in selecting and specifying a suitable pro-cedure, e.g. in acceptance tests.
