Overview
This document, together with VG 95371-10 Beiblatt 2, provides explanations of the lightning threat data according to VG 95371-10:2024-06. VG 95371-10 Supplement 1 contains the frequency distributions used to determine the threat parameters (lightning current peak, impulse current charge, specific lightning energy, long stroke current charge). The corresponding test methods are specified in the VG 96903 series of standards. Working Committee NA 140-00-19 AA "Nuklear-Elektromagnetischer Puls (NEMP) und Blitz" ("Nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP) and lightning protection") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE) is responsible for this document.
