Short description
The standard covers energy-flexible factories of manufacturing companies. The series of standards defines the process of identifying and marketing energy flexibility and the associated terms. Energy flexibility measures can be: adjustment of process starts (short and medium term), interruption of processes, adjustment of process parameters, adjustment of machine occupancy, adjustment of order sequence, storage of energy, change of energy source, adjustment of break times, adjustment of shift times, etc. The Key figures for energy flexibility were developed, the various procurement markets were explained and decision-making processes were described. Furthermore, a process is presented on how to identify energy flexibility potential and make it usable. This standard presents the marketing and optimization approaches for energy flexibilities. The information system architecture consisting of platforms and IT solutions is described (including smart grid, energy trading platforms and so-called virtual power plants). Furthermore, the construction of a so-called energy synchronization platform and the services associated with it. The company-side and market-side optimization approaches are explained and flexibility marketing is described. Finally, an example of an SME on self-consumption optimization and flexibility marketing and an example of flexibility marketing on the so-called intraday market are presented in two use cases.
