Thomas Kirmayr ist Abteilungsleiter in der Projekt- und Geschäftsfeldentwicklung des Fraunhofer IBP sowie Leiter von Mittelstand 4.0 im Kompetenzzentrum Planen und Bauen und Geschäftsführer der Fraunhofer-Allianz Bau seit 2017.

Seine Schwerpunkte sind die Digitalisierung und Industrialisierung des Bauwesens sowie digitales Prozess- und Innovationsmanagement, die er bei Projekten wie BIMiD, Bauen mit Weitblick oder BIM-StufenplanBIM2FM zeigt.
