DIN 14423:2025-04

Sieves in accordance with DIN 14423 are designed to prevent foreign objects from entering water tanks for firefighting. They can also be used to limit the volume flow during tank filling in order to prevent damage to the fire water tank. This document applies to sieves for pumps and reservoirs for firefighting: - for pump suction inlets of sizes AS, BS, CS. The safety and performance requirements apply mutatis mutandis for larger suction inlets (for example, Storz 125 and Storz 150); - for filling nozzles on fire water tanks of size BF. The safety and performance requirements apply mutatis mutandis for larger connections to filling nozzles (for example, Storz 110).
