The portable generators of at least 5 kVA specified in this standard are used by fire departments and other relief organizations for off-grid use of electrical equipment. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-06-01 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical resources") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW) and contains Amendment A1 including the updated requirements for painting and labeling.
