This product standard contains requirements for runabout carts for use in mass catering. Runabout carts are carts equipped with shelves and are intended for manual transportation (hand-operated) of food, drinks, dishes and kitchen articles. The major focus is on requirements regarding safety, construction and operational mode as well as hygiene aspects. With this standard it is ensured that the customer acquires a runabout cart which meets the requirements and demands in the field of mass catering. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 040-05-02 AA "Großküchengeräte" ("Equipment for commercial kitchens") at DIN.
