This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-05-73 AA "Gasanalyse und Gasbeschaffenheit" ("Gas analysis and gas quality") of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP), in collaboration with the Standardization Committee of Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products (FAM) of NMP, the Mining Standards Committee (FABERG) and the Gas Technology Standards Committee (NAGas) at DIN. This standard applies to gaseous fuels and other gases according to DIN 1340, except natural gas for which a general introduction is specified in DIN EN ISO 6326-1. The content of sulphur compounds is determined: - for gas quality control; - for desulphurisation plant monitoring; - for assessment of the risk of corrosion for gas supply and gas usage. Examination of gases for inorganic and organic sulphur compounds is made in accordance with their intended purpose.
