This standard applies to gaseous fuels and other gases according to DIN 1340, except natural gas for which a general introduction is specified in DIN EN ISO 6326-1. The content of sulphur compounds is determined: a) for gas quality control; b) for desulphurisation plant monitoring; c) for assessment of the risk of corrosion for gas supply and gas usage. Examination of gases for inorganic and organic sulphur compounds is made in accordance with their intended purpose. The standard provides an overview of the determination methods.
