Overview

This standard applies to synthetic organic ion exchange resins when used in aqueous systems. Liquid and inorganic substances, able to exchange ions, as well as other liquids than water are not covered by this standard. Instead of the term "ion exchange resin", the term "ion exchanger" is used in this standard. Therefore, both terms are not used for the whole apparatus. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-08-95 AA "Prüfung von Ionenaustauschern" ("Testing of ion exchangers") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP).
