This document applies to diamond impregnated discs used in optical engineering for cutting brittle materials. It specifies uniform dimensions and tolerances for diameter, grinding wheel thickness, and machine connection. This enables the interchangeability of cutting discs on different optical machines. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 027-01-11 AA "Fertigungsmittel der Optik" ("Production in optical engineering") at DIN Standards Committee Optics and Precision Mechanics (NAFuO).
