This document specifies safety regulations for the dimensioning and the operation of profiled rail guides with recirculating rolling elements (referred to as linear rail guide below) according to ISO 12090-1 and ISO 12090-2. This standard supports the application of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC for the use of profiled rail guides with recirculating rolling elements and serves to reduce danger potential when using profiled rail guides as well as to assess residual risk. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 118-01-11 AA "Linear-Wälzlager einschließlich Teile und Zubehör" ("Linear motion rolling bearings including parts and supplies ") at DIN.
