DIN 637:2016-12

This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings (NAWGL), Working Committee NA 118-01-11 AA "Linear-Wälzlager einschließlich Teile und Zubehör" ("Linear motion rolling bearings including parts and supplies "). This standard applies for profiled rail guides with recirculating rolling elements according to DIN ISO 12090-1 and DIN ISO 12090-2 and defines safety relevant specifications for dimensioning and operation. It is to be utilised for reducing potential hazards when using profiled rail guides, as well as for evaluating and determining residual risks, and will therefore simplify the tasks of manufacturers of machines when utilising profiled rail guides with recirculating rolling elements when implementing the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
