The purpose of this EN 13480 is to specify requirements for the design, manufacture, installation and testing of industrial piping made of metallic material for safe operating conditions. This standard is applicable to metallic piping above ground, ducted or buried, irrespective of pressure. This document (DIN EN 13480-1:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 267 "Industrial piping and pipelines", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible German committee is NA 082-00-17 AA at the Piping and Boiler Plant Standards Committee (NARD).
