This European Standard establishes general principles for the execution of bored piles which are formed in the ground by excavation and are structural members used to transfer actions and/or limit deformations. It applies to bored piles with a circular cross-section and to bored piles designed as diaphragm wall elements, provided that the cross-section is concreted in one operation. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-05-07 AA "Baugrund; Pfähle (SpA zu Teilen von CEN/TC 288 sowie CEN/TC 341/WG 4 und WG 7)" ("Soil; piles (Mirror Committee of parts of CEN/TC 288 and CEN/TC 341/WG 4 and WG 7)") at DIN.
