Overview

The standard series DIN EN 4674 describes self-wrapping shielding (EMI) protection sleeves for installation on electrical lines used in the aerospace industry. This Part 003 specifies the characteristics of flexible 5 KA self-wrapping shielding (EMI) protection sleeves, to be installed inside pressurized areas on electrical cables or cable bundles, made from nickel plated copper strands and PPS (polyphenylene sulphide) monofilament intended to be operated at temperatures ranging from -65 °C to 200 °C. The standards of the EN 4674 series are prepared by ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrical Engineering, with the participation with of German experts of the Aerospace Standards Committee. The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) declared the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD-STAN) responsible for the preparation of European standards (EN) for the field of aerospace. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-08 AA "Installationskomponenten" ("Harness components") at the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
