DIN EN 4674-003:2017-08

The standards in the DIN EN 4674 series describe self-wrapping, shielding (EMI) protective sleeve for installation on electrical cables in the aerospace industry. This European Standard specifies the characteristics of flexible 5 kA self-wrapping shielding (EMI) protection sleeves, to be installed inside pressurized areas on electrical cables or cable bundles, made from nickel plated copper strands and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) monofilament in a temperature range from -65 °C to 200 °C. The standard differs from the previous edition DIN EN 4674-003:2015-04 as follows: a) size code 53 has been deleted from Table 4; b) the document has been editorially adapted to the currently valid design rules. The EN 4674 series of standards has been prepared by the ASD-STAN, Technical Section Electrotechnology, with the participation of German experts from DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL). AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN) has been declared responsible by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for preparing European Standards (EN) for the aerospace sector. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 131-04-08 AA "Installationskomponenten" ("Installation components") at the DIN Standards Committee Aerospace (NL).
