Overview

This standard shall be used in conjunction with DIN EN 60317-0-6, which applies for glass-fibre wound resin and varnish impregnated wire. In the parts of the DIN EN 60317-X series particular types of coatings and the associated temperature classes of round copper wire are listed respectively. For this purpose, the constant essential characteristics of bare round copper wire used for this purpose are summarized in DIN EN 60317-0-X so that they do not need to be constantly repeated. The responsible committee is DKE/K 413 "Wickeldrähte" ("Winding wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
