Overview

This standard specifies the requirements for laser guards that enclose the process zone of a laser processing machine. This is a consolidated version into which Amendment 2 has been incorporated. This amendment contains a revised Annex D "Proprietary laser guard testing". The responsible committee is Joint Committee GK 841 "Optische Strahlungssicherheit und Lasereinrichtungen" ("Optical radiation safety and laser equipment") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
