Overview

This standard defines the properties of packagings necessary for protection of Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices (ESDS) in all phases of production, transport and storage. It refers to test methods in order to assess packagings and materials for packaging for these product and material properties. Limiting values for the requirements are given. The responsible Committee K 185 "Elektrostatik" ("Electrostatics") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
