The subject of this document involves describing the standard measurement method of power-dependent surface resistance of superconductors at microwave frequencies by the sapphire resonator method. The measuring item is the power dependence at the resonant frequency. The following suitable measuring ranges for of surface resistances for this method: frequencies up to 10 GHz input microwave power lower than 37 dBm (5 W). The surface resistance data at the measured frequency and that scaled to 10 GHz shall be reported for comparison. The responsible committee is DKE/K 184 "Supraleiter" ("Superconductors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
