Overview
This part of IEC 62056 describes the communication profile for TCP-UDP/IP networks. The TCP-UDP/IP based communication profiles are suitable for remote data exchange with metering equipment via IP enabled networks such as wide area networks (WAN), neighbourhood networks (NN) or local networks. The responsible body is DKE/K 461 "Elektrizitätszähler" ("Electricity meters") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
