This document deals with the electrical safety of gas, oil and solid-fuel burning appliances having electrical connections intended for household and similar purposes. This document recognizes the internationally accepted level of protection against hazards such as electrical, mechanical, and thermal hazards, as well as fire and radiation hazards posed by electrical appliances intended for household and similar purposes when operated properly in accordance with instructions. It also covers unusual situations that may nevertheless occur in practice and takes the ways in which electromagnetic phenomena can affect the safe operation of appliances into consideration. This document does not apply to appliances that are intended exclusively for industrial purposes.
This document replaces DIN EN 60335-2-102:2016-09; VDE 0700-102:2016-09 .
