Overview
The scope includes audio/video and similar equipment such as televisions and computer monitors. Requirements for the energy consumption of the equipment are specified. There are no restrictions on the scope of application of the document. The standard differs from DIN EN 62087-2 (VDE 0868-102):2016-12 as follows: a) HDR and UHD video test signals have been added; b) dynamic box-and-outline test signals have been added, replacing the static box-and-outline test signals. c) all test signals can be downloaded as media files from a dedicated IEC online repository; the previous DVD and Blu-ray media are no longer required. Typical examples of application are methods for measuring the power consumption of televisions in "On (Average) " mode based on three sets of video signals. These signal sets include static video signals, dynamic video signals with broadcast content, and video signals with Internet content.
This document replaces DIN EN 62087-2:2016-12; VDE 0868-102:2016-12 .
