The revision of the standard DIN EN ISO 11681-2 has introduced a change that includes additional information at the point of sale for chainsaws for tree service. This clarifies that this product is intended for trained users only. This issue has been raised by market surveillance authorities in Europe and relates to the availability of this product on the consumer market. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 020-00-12 AA "Tragbare Forstmaschinen" ("Manually portable forest machinery") at DIN.
