DIN EN ISO 15630-3 specifies the test methods applicable to prestressing steels (bar, wire, strand) for concrete. DIN EN ISO 15630 consists of the following parts, under the general title "Steel for the reinforcement and prestressing of concrete - Test methods": - Part 1: Reinforcing bars, wire rod and wire - Part 2: Welded fabric - Part 3: Prestressing steel The aim of ISO 15630 is to provide all applicable test methods for reinforcing and prestressing steels in one standard. Therefore, the existing International Standards for testing these products have been revised and updated. Some further test methods have been added. Reference is made to general International Standards on the testing of metals, as far as they are applicable. Complementary provisions have been given if needed. With respect to DIN EN ISO 15630-3:2002-08, the following modifications have been made: a) Table 1 has been revised; b) last paragraph of clause 4 has not been incorporated as a note; c) 5.1 and 5.3.1 have been described in more detail and the note has been deleted; d) footnote 1 has been incorporated in 5.3.1; e) note in 6.3 has been deleted; f) text in 6.4 has been described in more detail; g) 8.4.8 has been incorporated; h) 9.4.6 has been deleted; i) text in 10.3.5 has been revised and a warning note has been incorporated; j) expression in brackets has been incorporated in 11.3.5; k) 13.3.1.6 has been incorporated; l) 13.3.2.4 has been incorporated; m) formulae in clause 14 have been revised; n) Figure 8 has been revised; o) bibliography has been supplemented; p) standard has been editorially revised.
