This document (EN ISO 17637:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 "Welding", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible national committee is Working Committee NA 062-08-27 AA "Visuelle und thermographische Prüfung" ("Visual and thermographic methods") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing. This document specifies the visual inspection of fusion welds on metallic materials. It may also be used for visual inspection of the joint before welding.
