Overview
This document aims to define the requirements and method used to determine particle size distribution of disintegrated pellets. It is applicable for pellets that fully disintegrate in hot water.
The particle size distribution is determined after the sample pellets have disintegrated in hot demineralized water and have been dried in a drying or heating oven. The determination is made by sieving the dried material according to ISO 17827-2.
This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 238 "Solid biofuels" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 335 "Solid biofuels", the secretariat of which is held by SIS.
This document is intended to replace EN 16126:2012.
The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-82 AA "Biogene Festbrennstoffe" ("Solid biofuels") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
