Overview
This International Standard specifies methods for the determination of components in plastics that can be extracted by hot organic liquids near their boiling points. For one special case, a so-called cold extraction method is given in Annex B. The text of ISO 6427:2013 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 6427:2014 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics" the secretariat of which is held by NBN, Belgium. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 054-01-03 AA "Physikalische, rheologische und analytische Prüfungen" ("Physical, rheological and analytical test methods") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK) at DIN.
