Overview

The International Standard which has been prepared by ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied processes" specifies the general and special requirements for materials. The standard covers metallic materials which come into contact with acetylene, gas with similar chemical properties and oxygen, and non-metallic materials where specifications for the resistance to solvents, n-pentane and oxygen have been laid down. It is not applicable to materials for hoses in accordance with ISO 3821. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 092-00-07 AA "Ausrüstung zum Gasschweißen, Schneiden und verwandte Prozesse" ("Equipment for gas welding, cutting and allied processes") of NAS.
