DIN VDE 0100-560:2011-03

This part of standard DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) contains general requirements for safety services, for the selection and erection of electrical installations for safety services and for power sources for safety purposes. With respect to DIN VDE 0100-560 (VDE 0100-560):1995-07, the following essential modifications have been made: a) terms and definitions have been modified; b) clause "Classification" of power supply installations has been incorporated; c) permissibility of power sources as power sources for safety purposes; d) power source for safety purposes under certain conditions also applicable for other purposes; e) clause "Applications for emergency lighting/safety lighting" including control and bus systems for emergency lighting installations has been incorporated; f) clause "Applications for fire protection systems" has been incorporated; g) addition of new informative annexes "Guideline for emergency lighting" as well as "Guideline for fire protection systems"; h) update of references. The responsible Committee is Subcommittee UK 221.3 "Bauliche Anlagen für Menschenansammlungen" ("Installations for gathering of people") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
