Overview
This project contains general requirements for safety devices, for the selection and erection of electrical supply systems for safety installations and back-up power supplies. Electrical back-up power systems are not included in the scope. This standard does not apply to installations in potentially explosive atmospheres (BE3). The committee responsible for this standard is DKE/UK 221.3 "Bauliche Anlagen für Menschenansammlungen" ("Installations for gathering of people") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
