DIN VDE 0132:2012-08

This standard is intended for instructing persons responsible for firefighting and technical assistance in or near electrical installations. The values given in this standard for the minimum distances for approaching and extinguishing agent do not apply for installations with nominal voltages of up to AC 50 V (alternating current)/DC 120 V (direct current). The standard does not apply to the erection and operation of fixed firefighting systems, irrigation systems, water guns and the like or to firefighting methods, for example, the flooding of cable channels with water or foam. The responsible committee is K 213 "Brandbekämpfung in elektrischen Anlagen" ("Firefighting in electrical installations") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
