Overview
DIN SPEC 91400 provides a classification and description system for Building Information Modeling (BIM) with which building data models can be filled with data in a way that is compatible with the STLB-Bau tendering system and compatible with the syntax and semantics of the International Standard ISO 16739 (Industry Foundation Classes, IFC). The DIN SPEC specifies requirements for the component-related, alphanumeric data content of building information models (BIM). The classification is made available as a web-based lfcXML file and can be used individually for the creation of building data models. The IfcXML catalog file can be downloaded free of charge from www.din-bauportal.de.
