Short description
This standard describes the principles and resulting procedures for calculating the safety forces required for loads and road vehicles when driving under normal traffic conditions. It considers the calculation of statically indeterminate direct lashings of stable rigid loads. The prerequisite for this is that the center of gravity is symmetrical in relation to the attachment points. It also considers tie-down lashings with wrap angles greater than 180°. This is the case with loads that protrude beyond the vehicle's lashing points. The standard contains a basic description of which mass forces must be taken into account under normal traffic conditions and which forces must be absorbed by lashing devices and other load securing devices in order to achieve effective securing of a load. For combined transport, the relevant acceleration values must also be taken into account. The calculation of the securing forces is carried out analogously.
