Short description

When loading trucks and trailers, care must be taken to ensure that the permissible axle loads are not exceeded and that the minimum steering-axle load or minimum drive-axle load and the maximum permissible wheel load difference are not undershot, so as not to endanger road traffic safety during transport. Overloading of the road caused by exceeding the permissible axle loads must also be avoided. The load distribution plan (LVP) provides assistance in complying with the permissible axle loads and minimum axle loads and contains all the necessary information. This standard applies to all trucks, trailers (drawbar and rigid drawbar trailers), articulated vehicles and special vehicles, see also DIN 70010 and VDI 2700. The standard is intended for loaders, drivers and vehicle owners. The areas of responsibility are derived from national road traffic and industrial safety legislation and from the relevant laws and regulations of the EU Member States.
