Short description
The latest results of a nationwide study show that the term "heat action plan" is interpreted differently by local authorities. Specific measures planned by local authorities within the framework of heat action plans can be highly diverse and multifaceted. As there are currently no technical regulations considering health-related heat protection or prevention in Germany, standardized heat action planning is advisable and helpful. The standard serves as a recommendation for local authorities. This standard describes approaches for heat reduction in indoor spaces from the perspective of short-term measures for individual adaptation and refers to an extensive collection of existing norms, standards, and regulations for long-term measures in urban planning and construction.
