Short description

The standard defines specifications for the training of wild-bee experts, for the necessary previous knowledge of the participants, for the procedure of the training courses, and it gives recommendations on which groups of wild bees should be trained at the beginning. The suggestions for training courses are compatible with certified training courses in the field of nature conservation (e. g. Bundesweiter Arbeitskreise der staatlich getragenen Bildungsstätten im Natur- und Umweltschutz, BANU). The standard is aimed at institutions that want to offer structured wild bee training courses, such as academies, schools, universities, environmental associations and nature conservation organisations. The standard is being developed as part of the BienABest project. The target group of the training courses are people who will be carrying out the long-term recording of wild bee diversity - also as part of biodiversity monitoring.
