This standard specifies requirements on the documentation of the performance of quality assurance measures for the determination of emissions with automated measuring systems and data evaluation systems according to VDI 3950 Blatt 1 and DIN EN 14181, DIN EN 13284-2, DIN EN 14884, DIN EN ISO 16911-2, VDI 2066 Blatt 8 or VDI 3891. This standard covers the documentation of the following activities: checking the correct installation of automated measuring systems and data evaluation systems; calibration and validation of automated measuring systems; annual surveillance tests of automated measuring systems and data evaluation systems. This standard amends the general requirements of VDI 3950 Part 1 regarding the documentation of the activities and the necessary specific tests required in this context. The requirements specified in this standard are applicable within the scope of the German Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Law (TEHG). This standard is addressed to plant operators, which uses automated measuring systems and data evaluation systems, to test laboratories, which calibrate and check such systems, to manufacturers of these systems, and to competent authorities.
