Short description
The goal of this guideline is to provide scientists and engineers with a guide to the bionic approach as an additional method for solving problems when developing robots. In particular, this guideline presents the strengths of bionic robotics as well as some of its limitations. Biomimetics can help to optimize a number of the components of a robot. Hypothesis: Even if only the weakest link in the chain consisting of sensor technology, software, electronics, and actuator technology works better with the help of biomimetics, the quality of the overall system is still increased.
