Short description
This standard explains the differentiation between traceability-relevant calibration results on the one hand and results of functional tests (test results) on the other, whereby the latter are additionally relevant as proof of the proper operation of the device, e. g. in relation to manufacturer specifications or standards. The differences between the two types of results are pointed out and ways are described how these can be presented in the calibration certificate, easily recognisable for the user. Furthermore, the necessity of indicating test results in calibration certificates is explained (relevant international standards such as CISPR 16-1-1 make it mandatory to indicate test results in the calibration certificate) and their influence on the operation of a measuring instrument in general is described.
