Overview

This International Standard applies to medical electrical microwave therapy equipment and is an adaptation to the structure of the DIN EN 60601 family, third edition, from 2007. It replaces the standard from 1985. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 812.2 "Therapie, Chirurgie" ("Therapy, surgery") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
