This document (CEN/TS 15963) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 336 "Bituminous binders", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. The responsible German committee is Joint Committee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) and the Building and Civil Engineering Standards Committee (NABau) at DIN. This Technical Specification specifies a method for the determination of the Fracture Toughness temperature, TFT, of bituminous binders by means of a three point bending test on a notched binder sample.
