This Technical Report contains guidance on how to conduct Round Robin Tests (RRT) and on how to use them for determining the levels of repeatability (within-laboratory variation) and reproducibility (between-laboratory variation). This Technical Report is also applicable for the verification and improvement of measurement methods and for the qualification of laboratories. It does not apply to the determination of manufacturing variations for a specific product. For general information on proficiency testing see EN 17043. This Technical Report may be applied supplementary to that document. The levels of repeatability and reproducibility are essential factors when specifying the uncertainty limits of measurement methods and the tolerance levels of verification programmes. The responsible committee is DKE/K 513 "Hausgeräte, Gebrauchseigenschaften" ("Household appliances, performance characteristics") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
